So I put to together a serious of videos that you may be able to draw from some of their principles and experience to to inspire you to pursue and achieve your highest success goals.

How Important Is Mindset When Starting A MLM Business?

mc donaldsOf course it can here’s why… The McDonalds Story (A Tale of Two Mind Sets)

If you treat treat your business like a million dollar opportunity it just may pay you like one. The problem is in network marketing the price of entry is usually so very low compared to traditional brick and mortar businesses.  So the business may even be easy to do…but just as easy not to do.

To illustrate my point, let’s say you purchase a 1.5 million dollar McDonalds franchise. The rule of franchising usually is that you have to invest 5 times the money you expect to make per year to get your business off the ground.

Now that you put your house up for the loan…you’ve just received: the arches, the four walls, the over-head, the inventory and of course 10 screaming teenagers, 2 retirees, and 1 new college grad to manage the place. Congratulations you just bought a new job! It may take you 3 years to break even, but your a serious investor and you know your  business will profit year after year not even counting the value of the real estate.

Now your off to another state to enroll in McDonald University where they are going to teach you how to make a hamburger.  You master the information pretty fast. Not once did question whether or not you can make a better hamburger than McDonalds; you just plug into “the system.”

At the university as one of your professors I suggest you read a book called “Think & Grow Rich” on Monday and have a report about the book on my desk by Thursday… Would you complete the assignment on time?… of course you would. Or if I schedule you to attend a conference call about suggestions to increase your work force productivity on Thursday evening, which just happens to be your special bowling night.  Would you miss the call…or go bowling? I think  you know the answer. ) After all you still owe McDonalds $1.5 million dollars.

After you graduate McDonalds U you just received a certificate which certifies you know that at McDonalds the french fry unit is on the left and the milk shakes are on the right. You are now ready to go and train your staff so that your 10 teenagers can run your business.

Congratulations you have created real duplication, leverage and wealth producing business.

Motivational Mindset to Absurdity!

thinking brain -facing rightLet’s take it one step further to absurdity. You just joined my team in a new network marketing company.  I as your sponsor tell you that you have to recruit 5 new reps in your 1st week at the $2,000 price point. If you fail the task I have the right to hunt you down  and shoot in the back of the head. Now you can’t tell anyone or get anyone to help you because I run this mythical country.  One word from you that I don’t like and you and your entire family will surely perish by my hand. Now the question is ….is there any doubt you would find a way to recruit those 5 reps? Of course you would. It’s the mind set and the importance of consequences of  the task performed.

You see if you treat your business like a business that your life depended on …it would pay like a business.  However, if you treat your business casually , your business may just end up a casualty.

More often people join a company thinking it’s the right company that will make them rich. When in all reality only you are responsible for success in your business. It’s as simple as find out what successful people are doing and repeat their steps.  What happens is often unsuccessful people are not willing to do what successful people are willing to do.

You Are The Sum Total Average Of Your Chosen Relationships & Experiences

Simply put you are the sum total of the average of the five people you surround yourself with the most. You walk like, act like, and talk like the relationship you have with those people. So if they are multi-millionaires having the success you strive for then your in pretty good shape. If they are pessimistic and lack vision you may be in trouble.

Why Who, What, Where, How You Spend Your Time Is So Important When Starting Your Business

time clockMost starting a home business usually have a job and start out part time to fund their enterprise. So most have to put in eight hours trading their time for dollars. So lets look at the typical breakdown in a 24 time cycle.
You will normally need:

  • 8 hours to 6-8 hours to sleep.
  • 8 hours to work.
  • An hour or two to commute.
  • An hour or two to eat.
  • An hour to bath and get ready;or no one will work with you.
  • Hour or so of sorted tasks.

So when you look at that break down the average person only has a few discretionary hours to balance family and run their business.
In order to achieve their goals they’re surely going to have to give up something. If they come home tired from work and try to relax and watch a the football game, or even have a social life that may cut in to the few hours they will have to work their business. If they focus that time with positive people that are moving in the same direction they will be too overtime. Keep in mind in every minute of they day you are either building your business or being subjected to others…the choice is yours.

You can continue make bowling night or watch the game or choose not to read something in your field that will take your business to the next level. Or you can study systematically put in to practice what you learned from other successful people. You  can be an entertained fan watching the success of others. The choice is yours. Starting your own business can be a challenging balancing act but the rewards are worth the sacrifice until you get your business off the ground.

The Slight Edge Principle
It is said that if you would read 30 pages of a good book each day in a year you will see a drastic difference in your productivity capabilities. Ponder that thought for a second. If I read 30 minutes of a good book preparing me for success in my field, or learning principles of successful people and you don’t, will there be much of difference between us in a week….probably not… but how about a year? Example…every day you come home from work you put on that nightly news and then watch your favorite sit com between say 6 and 8 PM.  In that same time I come home and I learn html code, designing websites and building capture pages  while implementing the latest cutting edge marketing strategies to market my business.  Will there be a difference in week?  …Maybe not….but how about a year?
In a year’s time you will be abreast of all the current events in the world. You will have developed  relationship with sponsors and characters from you favorite sit com. Heck you will even be able to predict how a certain character will respond in certain circumstances.

In a year I to will develop a relationship with my personal develop coaches and be able to solve problems I didn’t even know existed the previous year. The point is these differences happen slighty but increase over time. So be very aware of time. Spend some time absorbing the knowledge and the principles from the successful people contained in this section. Start Today with Slight Edge Video by Jeff Olson.
